Houses For Africa has developed a comprehensive environmental and social policy focused around three strategic objectives:
Design
HFA innovates around the urban, architectural and engineering design processes in order to deliver healthy, integrated and sustainable communities.
HFA constantly seeks out new technology to develop on site solutions which minimize the impact of our developments on the capacity of offsite bulk infrastructure services with particular emphasis on sewerage, energy, water and waste.
Partnership
HFA attracts partners to fund and manage appropriate solutions for community services with particular emphasis on schooling, health, leisure and community governance.
Innovative finance
HFA stimulates economic activity along the property development value chain by unlocking the demand for housing across lower to lower-middle income groups through the development and implementation of responsible housing finance products and by creatively structuring and delivering project infrastructure financial solutions to construct and deliver increased capacity.
