Our Policies
Internal Policies & Standards
Our developments avoid or minimize social and environmental impacts and our internal management is guided by compliance with national & local regulation, IFC’s performance standards and reference to good international sector practice.
All our developments aim to avoid any involuntary resettlement and where unavoidable such resettlement will be undertaken in a manner which minimizes the impact on affected persons and is guided by the performance objectives of IFC’s performance standard on land acquisition and involuntary resettlement.
Our urban designers, architects, engineers and other professional advisers are expected to work as a team to identify and develop integrated design solutions that achieve our objective to create developments that maximize social and environmental benefits and minimize such impacts e.g. reducing land consumption; maximizing energy and water efficiency; reducing volumes of polluted stormwater run-off; reducing pressure on bulk infrastructure services.
Social and environmental requirements and performance targets are integrated into our legal agreements with third parties such as contractors and service providers.
Our projects are monitored against our internal performance standards and project specific issues identified by social and environmental assessments and non-compliance will be reported in accordance with our risk management structures and procedures.
